We Do All The Work For You

At White Lily Estate Liquidations, we customize our services to meet your every need, offering everything from partial services to a full suite that manages the home from the initial steps to listing with a realtor for sale.  

STEP 01

INITIAL CONSULTATION & ESTATE ASSESSMENT

We understand this is a very stressful time & for some, a lot of unknowns.  During our first phone call, we focus on understanding your needs & providing solutions.  One of our lead estate managers will be booked to visit the home to complete a further needs assessment. This will entail a walkthrough of the home, considering its contents, safety, and security.  We will prepare a step by step process early on to provide you with a stress free estate experience. An estimate will be provided to understand the associated costs transparently.   
 
For out of town & in town clients who cannot attend in person, WhatsApp video calls can be arranged so you can participate in the property walkthrough.
 

STEP 02

COORDINATING ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

If you require a realtor, accountant or lawyer in the area, we are well connected & are happy to make an introduction for you.  We have a wide network of realtors & understand who is an expert in each part of Calgary.  We can arrange several quotes for the property which will help you make an informed decision when selecting a local agent for selling the property.  We also have connections with realtors who conduct business in various languages other than English.  

STEP 03

DOCUMENTATION, PHOTOS & INVENTORY

Once we have the go-ahead from you to proceed, we take time to itemize, document, photograph & if needed catalogue the home’s contents.  Our support team in the office will ensure this step is done well & communicated to you.  We understand some clients will want to be very hands on with the process, while others will prefer less involvement.  This step can be tailored to suit individual needs.  Documenting and categorizing the content allows us to work with you to determine which items will be shipped to family members, which will be sold, what will be donated, & remaining contents recycled.  We run our business ethically & try to keep as much out of the landfill as possible.

STEP 04

ASSET PROTECTION - SECURING THE PROPERTY & INSURANCE

At White Lily Estates, we understand this is a substantial asset & it’s of utmost importance to ensure insurance requirements are met while the property is vacant.  Please contact the insurance provider for the property to determine if a walkthrough is required to keep the policy valid.  Most insurance companies require a 72-hour walkthrough for vacant properties.
 
We have a dedicated, qualified home watch team to conduct these internal inspections.  The team is well versed in the mechanics of homes & formal reports are issued to keep you apprised. Our home watch team will ensure the water main is turned off, pipes are drained, doors & windows are secure, the alarm is set (if applicable), with lights & blinds arranged.
 
When conducting estate sales, we cordon off any potentially unsafe areas to prevent visitors from entering the space. 

STEP 05

APPRAISAL & VALUATION

THE BIG 3!  
  • Vehicles, cars, motorbikes, motor homes, boats, farm equipment & such.
  • Jewelry & coins.
  • Furniture, & collectibles such as artwork.
Our lead appraisers assess & evaluate early on in our process to determine the most suitable avenue for selling these items.  We use various avenues such as auction houses and artifact collectors around the world; if necessary, we facilitate & manage online sales.  We use our experience & expertise, along with a very specific technical process, for evaluation.

STEP 06

PREPARING THE PROPERTY FOR SALE

Repairs & Painting:
Once the contents have been managed, we realize the property will eventually be listed for sale.  We offer more than many estate companies.  With 13 years of property management & renovation experience, our lead contractor will look with a keen eye & consult with you to determine if any minor repairs, painting, small renovations need to be completed before listing the property.  We have an in-house handyman & renovations team.
 
Cleaning Services:
We have an in-house experienced cleaning team.  Once the property is empty, we can complete a full detailed cleaning to ensure it is ready for listing photos & showings.
 
Yardwork & Window Cleaning:
Our team will ensure the garden is weeded, cleaned up, & lawns are cut.
 

STEP 07

PROPERTY ESTATE SALE, SHIPPING, DONATIONS & LANDFILL

We have a team of 20 to ensure this crucial process runs smoothly & seamlessly.  Once all preparation is complete, clearing the contents requires precision to ensure everything ends up where it needs to be.  
 
Our team is qualified to pack valuables & keepsakes properly, for shipping to family members &/or collectors if an item has been sold.  
 
After exhausting all avenues for selling the property’s contents, our team will load up donations & ensure as much of the remaining contents are delivered to a centre that can make good use of these items.  We keep as much as possible out of the landfill.  Recycling is our next step. As a last resort, all remaining contents are removed and taken to the Landfill.
